Observe (undergraduate students) or work hands-on (graduate students) clinically with individuals with communications needs in Sri Lanka. Students will have the opportunity to observe/directly participate in assessment and intervention. Partner with undergraduate pre-service speech and language therapy students in Sri Lanka. Interact with them and observe while the students from Sri Lanka work directly with children with speech and language difficulties from the community. Students will have the opportunity to observe and interact with multidisciplinary professionals from Sri Lanka as they work with children with disabilities. Students will also interact with families and their children with disabilities from the host country as they observe at the Ayati clinic.

Experience the rich cultural and historical heritage of Sri Lanka with trips to Galle and Kandy. In Galle students will have the opportunity to experience the beauty of Sri Lankan beaches and see traditional southern Sri Lankan dancing. Kandy is a historical city where the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is located. There, students will have the opportunity to observe and be a part of a traditional Buddhist religious ceremony.
