Griffith is characterized by an innovative multidisciplinary approach to teaching and research with a focus on global issues. Griffith is a 'young' university, established in Brisbane in 1971 to offer students a different educational experience and with a focus on new areas of study. Since it started teaching in 1975, Griffith has grown in both size and diversity. Griffith now enrolls over 40,000 students, including 10,000 international students and offers a huge range of courses.

Griffith University has five campuses located between Brisbane and the Gold Coast in southeast Queensland, a beautiful subtropical part of Australia and one of its major tourist destinations. Griffith is a comprehensive university offering studies in most disciplines, allowing you to find the courses you need and complement your studies with a great lifestyle experience!

Queensland's subtropical climate is close to perfect with mild winters and warm summers. Southeast Queensland offers a wonderful range of attractions from magnificent beaches to pristine rain forests and unspoiled national parks.

Griffith's five campuses are located across Australia's fastest growing corridor from Brisbane to the Gold Coast. Each campus has a distinctive character and range of course offerings at the undergraduate or graduate level and offers students access to clubs and organizations to meet their individual interests.

Griffith's Five Campuses:

  • Nathan campus is set in Toohey State Forest in the Brisbane suburb of Nathan, about 15 minutes drive from Brisbane Central Business District (CBD).
  • Mt. Gravatt campus is a hilltop, bushland campus across the freeway from the Nathan campus and linked by a bike path and free bus service. Located in the Brisbane suburb of Mt. Gravatt, about 15 minutes from Brisbane CBD.
  • The Gold Coast campus, located in Southport, about 30 minutes from the Gold Coast beach offers a relaxed lifestyle, supportive environment and diverse course options.
  • South Bank campus is home to the Queensland Conservatorium and Queensland College of Art and is located in the heart of Brisbane's arts and culture precinct and provides wonderful state of the art facilities.
